Are you a connoisseur of culinary masterpieces? O’Pazzo would love to introduce you to the kitchen if you are the perfect fit. Together with the head chef, you are responsible for everything that comes out of the kitchen. You handle the preparation of all à la carte dishes and manage the entire kitchen brigade. And molto importante: you ensure that the culinary standard at O’Pazzo remains top-notch. It’s about coordinating the preparation process so that dishes are efficiently, rapidly, and consistently prepared at a high quality. In the kitchen, you are also the go-to person when there are complaints or group reservations.

Cooking is everything to you. In one word: Passione. In addition to cooking, you assist the head chef with administration tasks. This includes work schedules, leave requests, finding replacement staff, reservations, and placing orders. Every day, you and the team strive to deliver an A-okay performance. At the end of the day, you close the evening with colleagues with a drink at the bar. Salute!

What you can expect:

  • Annual contract for 40 hours per week (less negotiable), with the possibility of indefinite employment
  • 5 weeks of vacation per year based on 40 hours
  • Overtime can be used as days off; if not, they will be paid

What we expect from you:

  • You have a passion for cooking, especially for Italian dishes
  • You are communicatively strong and have experience in leading and motivating kitchen staff
  • You are stress-resistant, work in an organized manner, and know how to switch when it gets busy
  • You are creative and innovative and want to elevate O’Pazzo to a higher level with your skills
  • You have the necessary knowledge of cooking techniques and can transfer them to colleagues
  • You have experience in inventory management and daily orders
  • You have experience in creating a new menu and calculating associated prices
  • You ensure the kitchen always looks neat and oversee compliance with HACCP regulations
  • You have experience in creating work schedules, managing leave, efficiently deploying personnel, assisting in selecting and training new staff, and conducting performance reviews
  • You speak both Dutch and English
