I was born in a small village in China, near the city Rui’an. When I was twelve I came to the Netherlands with my family. Without knowledge of the Dutch language and culture, this was a big challenge for me. After a year of preschool I was educated in Consumptive Technique in Dordrecht. During this education I learned several techniques regarding preparing and serving dishes. This was the base of my horeca career. Soon I practiced my skills and worked at Indonesian restaurant Rasa Senang. First in the kitchen and then in service. After 10 years I started working for French restaurant La Duchesse in Schiedam. That’s where my love for wines was triggered and developed my wine expertise with tastings, workshops and studies. After that I have worked at O’Pazzo and worked myself up to Sommelier and Floor Manager. My passion for wines lies in the way its character can make or break a dish. Through the house supplier of Italian wines I stay updated on the innovative developments at Austrian and Italian wine houses. I have visited wine houses in the Chianti area in Toscane myself, this is where I’ve seen with my own eyes that O’Pazzo sells beautiful products. Even though I have years of experience, working in the dynamic environment of O’Pazzo remains to be a challenge every day. With my expertise in wines and dishes I try to contribute to the quality of our team. In the end, it remains an honor to give our guests an amazing evening, that is what working at O’Pazzo is all about for me.
